Ground Zero

This question is for Will and James.
What did you guys find while going to Ground Zero ?
Did you realize anything while you were there ?

  1. We found out that you need to be at least 18 if you want to go on the Ground Zero site , but the police still let us in. I also found that they needed volunteers because there wasn't much there, and there was a lot to work to do on the Ground Zero site. The thing that I realized when I was at Ground Zero is that there may not be a chance of my father coming back , because Ground Zero was very demolished and it didn't look like anybody survived in the crash.

  2. You must have needed to lie about your age to get you into Ground Zero then. Yes , having both towers fall down must have been a mess , and it's not surprise there wasn't much volunteers .. everyone was probably with their friends or family.

  3. Indeed , we did lie about our age .. haha. It was a mess , and it looked very tragic too , it was really different from how they described it in the news and different from the pictures we saw , and yes everyone was probably with their family or friends.

  4. It must have been very different , I'm sure it looked much worse when you actually went to Ground Zero then the news would have showed it because you would see it clearer when you actually go to Ground Zero. I'm sorry about your father , but the sooner you realize it the better.

  5. Yes , it was very different and worse .. it looked more tragic when I went there myself. And for the last part of your statement , I agree .. and going to Ground Zero made it even more real.

  7. We found that there's a code you could use on the subway to go on it for free because when we were on our way to Ground Zero , we forgot to buy our tickets , and when someone asked us for our tickets , we told him we didn't have any and our reason for going to Ground Zero , and after we told him that he handed us this little slip , and he said use it every time you go on the subway for today. Since I was there on 9/11 .. I could imagine looking up at the towers and thinking about how tall they were , and then after that an image popped into my head about the two people holding hands and jumping , I realized how sinister the attack was , and the damage it had cost.
